Six new brands join 159
Six new brand destinations have joined 159 – the easily memorable number that connects consumers safely and directly to their bank when they receive an unexpected call about a financial matter.
The arrival of Bank of Ireland UK, Danske Bank, Cater Allen Private Bank, Spring Savings, True Potential LLP and Zempler Bank, takes the number of members signed up to the 159-service to 27.
With over one million calls made and more than 1,300 calls received daily, it’s clear just how vital this service has become in offering consumers another level of protection.

With over £1.17 billion stolen by fraudsters during in 2024, 159, which covers over 99.2% of UK current accounts, provides consumers with a vital route back to safety.

“In the midst of a scam, rational and logical thinking often takes a back seat. To support our customers during such vulnerable moments, we introduced the 159 service,” he said.
“This service simplifies the process of contacting us, offering a secure and easy-to-remember method for reaching out. It ensures our customers connect directly with us, avoiding imposters posing as Danske Bank representatives. We are pleased to provide this crucial service to safeguard our customers.”
