Stop Scams UK joins a global movement in the fight against fraud

Stop Scams UK set out its commitment to as a pathfinder for global action against fraud at the Global Fraud Summit in Vienna.

Participants at the Global Fraud Summit, hosted by the UNODC and Interpol, were invited to submit a pledge to translate their commitment into action-oriented contributions to tackle fraud.

Stop Scams UK’s pledge builds on its focus on cross-sector collaboration by establishing an ambitious target to innovate and scale to disrupt fraud routes. The pledge declares:

In 2026, Stop Scams UK (SSUK) will offer practical insight to any country seeking to build a business case for cross-sector collaboration. SSUK works to dismantle cultural, legal and technical barriers that prevent industries from collaborating to combat fraud. We bring together global technology, finance, and telecommunications firms to share intelligence and stop scams at source before they reach consumers.

By 2027, SSUK will demonstrate results from five world-first cross-sector data sharing partnerships that can be replicated in countries worldwide. We will leverage our multi-sector UK membership and act as a pathfinder for global action against fraud.

Stop Scams UK joins a range of civil society groups, governments, and private sector organisations that have all made pledges to take action against fraud.
