Stop Scams UK set to attend the Global Fraud Summit

Stop Scams UK is taking tri-sector collaboration to Vienna for  the 2026 Global Fraud Summit,16–17 March.

The Summit, hosted by the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC) and Interpol, assembles international policymakers, law enforcement, industry representatives and civil society organisations to collaborate in the fight against fraud.

As part of this year’s programme, Stop Scams UK will host an official side event that illustrates how our voluntary model of cross-sector collaboration has successfully disrupted fraud at scale.

We bring together panellists from a range of industries:

  • UK telecommunications
    • Communications Crime Strategy Group, Simon Fell, Advisor and Former UK Member of Parliament
    • Virgin Media O2, Penelope Clarke, Director of Fraud, Credit Risk & Operational Compliance
  • Online global tech
    • LinkedIn, Oscar Rodriguez, Vice President of Product Trust
    • Meta, Nathaniel Gleicher, Director and Global Head of Security Policy and Counter-Fraud
  • Financial services
    • Lloyds Banking Group, Liz Ziegler, Fraud Prevention Director
    • Natwest, Nick Perkins, Director of Fraud Prevention
    • Revolut, Rory Tanner, Head of UK Government Affairs and Public Policy
  • Law enforcement
    • National Crime Agency, Rachael Herbert, Director of National Economic Crime

Showcasing the Stop Scams UK approach to industry-led collaboration to a global audience, the event unpicks the challenges and barriers to cross-sector partnership and the practical steps taken to overcome them. Audiences will hear directly from industry leaders who are spearheading groundbreaking initiatives, including the Blocked SIMs programme which was recently highlighted at the launch of the National Fraud Strategy. Audience members will also have the unique opportunity to get practical insight from our members about how the Stop Scams UK cross-sector model can be replicated around the world.

Fraud is a widespread threat and we are excited to be joining the global discussion to combat fraud. If you will be attending the Summit and would like to connect with our team, please reach out at media@stopscamsuk.org.uk. Follow us on LinkedIn for daily updates at the Summit.
