The 2025-26 annual highlights report demonstrates ideas moving into action and impact.

Through Stop Scams UK, members worked together to build industry-leading fraud prevention programmes, influence government, raise public awareness, and strengthen the UK’s position as a global leader in scam prevention.

Below are the key milestones delivered by our network over the past year.

Fraud defence through a data sharing ecosystem

  • Blocked SIMs: 2.5m records shared resulting in action 5,000 accounts
  • Chatbot mules: 1,500+ mules discovered with estimated take down value of over £5m
  • Meta fan-out: Meta analyse provided mule account data and return these signals daily, giving our members thousands of new signals
  • Mules to Tech: sharing 26,000 mule account signals with tech platforms, where any carrying out harmful activity are blocked

Influence to enable better fraud prevention

  • Multisector voice in government: cross-sector workshops to help shape the Fraud Strategy
  • Government data sharing: SSUK became an official industry gateway to the government’s new Online Crime Centre (OCC)
  • Global ecosystem footprints: opened strategic lines to governments in Malta, Netherlands, New Zealand and Singapore
